Can eating foods that help improve skin elasticity in aging skin actually improve your skin health?

Sadly though maintaining skin elasticity into older age isn’t quite as simple as eating 2 or 3 foods.

But it’s also quite clear that your diet does affect your skin health and your skin elasticity as you age. You need to eat a healthy diet high in vitamins and minerals and anti oxidants and this will definitely make a difference to your skin.

You see lots of good advice about eating the right diet, and much of it is the same advice for maintaining good health. You need to eat less fat, especially saturated animal fat, eat more fresh fruit and vegetables and you need to lower your intake of salt and sugar, and eat this type of diet permanently. This is good for your body, and your skin.

But there are no miracle foods that you can eat and which will directly impact on improving your skin health. For those looking for a food that is a magic bullet to improving skin elasticity the sad news is that there is no simple food that you can eat that will improve skin elasticity. But there are some foods that help improve skin elasticity in aging skin.

Here’s 2 of them.

1. Omega 3 you’re probably familiar with. It’s a good fat found in oily fish and in some other foods and it’s recommended for heart health and has some other benefits for the body too. But you may be unaware that omega 3 fats are also very good for your skin.

For a whole range of reasons a diet high in omega 3 fats is very important and you ought to be aware of this. But it’s not quite as easy ensuring that you eat a lot of omega 3. Some societies eat a lot of the right types of fish, for example, but we tend not to. And fish can be very expensive and getting more so.

2. Seaweed is another food that is very good for skin elasticity. Not just any old seaweed but a seaweed that is found around the coast of Japan called phytessence wakame. It might sound strange to say that it is a food, but the Japanese have eaten phytessence wakame for centuries, fresh and dried. It is a big part of the Japanese diet from very young right through to old age.

And its no coincidence that Japanese women have the worlds best skin right into old age. And science knows why this is, its because of all that seaweed they eat right throughout their lives.

Theres a range of reasons why phytessence wakame is good for skin elasticity, but it gets a little scientific. But I’ve written more about that on my website.

And there’s other foods that help improve skin elasticity in aging skin as well, but I’m leading up to something here.

It’s very difficult to select a food or even a range of foods that really make a large difference to your skin purely be eating them. Without doubt a generally healthy diet is very good for your skin but to narrow that down to finding specific foods that will improve skin elasticity, for example, is very hard.

And sometimes, although the ingredients of some foods are good for your skin, they can be better applied topically, or direct to your skin, rather than eaten.

So if you want to improve your skin elasticity and want to do so naturally how do you do so? And I should say that improving skin elasticity is one of the best ways to fight skin wrinkles.

What you can do is to use the best natural skin care products that contain all these ingredients in one easy to use product.

Most big brand skin care products tend to contain chemical ingredients manufactured in a lab, usually as these are much cheaper than natural ingredients. But its quite possible to get skin care products with the ingredients mentioned above, and lots more.That way you dont need to try and find seaweed to eat, or spend your time eating oily fish. Its really way too hard trying to combat skin wrinkles or loss of skin elasticity by eating specific foods. Certainly focus on eating a healty diet, but everyone ought to do that anyway.
